Gunnarsbo School is a municipal school in Mullsjö where students in grades 4–6 from the entire municipality attend. The school is centrally located in Mullsjö and is divided into two buildings. The operations are characterized by safety, collaboration with guardians, and the goal of giving students good self-esteem and confidence in their own abilities. The school actively works for a safe school environment free from discrimination and bullying.
The adapted primary school in Mullsjö Municipality offers education for students who need adaptations based on their conditions. The teaching is adapted individually with the aim of creating safety, participation, and development for each student, in close collaboration between the school, student health services, and guardians.

DUTIES
As a special needs educator at our school, you work in close collaboration with the principal, student health services, and other staff at the school. The student health service at the school consists of school leadership, a counselor, a school nurse, an occupational therapist, a special education teacher in math and Swedish, and a social pedagogue. You work in a health-promoting, preventive, and remedial manner, both strategically and in daily practice. Together with teachers, you are also responsible for documenting pedagogical mappings, investigations, and action plans. You should be able to create good learning situations and participate in and be responsible for school development.
As a special needs educator, you are a key person in the school's development. You work both strategically and close to the students with a focus on accessible learning environments, early interventions, and sustainable solutions.
You will among other things:
- Support and guide teachers and work teams in special pedagogical matters
- Map students' needs and contribute to pedagogical investigations
- Design, follow up, and develop extra adaptations and special support
- Work closely with the student health team, guardians, and external actors
- Be driving the school's development work regarding inclusion and equity
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
- Are educated as a special needs educator.
- Have experience working in grades 4–6 and/or adapted primary school.
- Have good knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and adaptations in teaching.
- Are solution-focused, collaborative, and confident in your professional role.
- See relationships as the foundation for learning and development.
We also see that you:
- Are guided by goal- and result-oriented thinking in prioritization, planning, and action.
- Are flexible and have the ability to change direction when goals change.
- Listen, communicate, and resolve potential conflicts in a constructive manner.
