Sandeplaskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 450 students and 60 employees. The school consists of two buildings: the A-building houses grades 4–9, while the B-building houses grades F-3 and the after-school program (fritids). We have large and excellent outdoor environments that offer a variety of activities and learning spaces for our students.

Each grade team consolidates into a work team for F-3, 4–6, and 7–9. At our school, safety, well-being, and participation are important for both students and staff. Our development areas are thinking classrooms, reading comprehension and literacy, motivation-enhancing teaching, and health awareness. We have chosen these development areas to increase student learning through curiosity, engagement, and participation in teaching. The student health team works with health awareness to create routines and processes that promote and prevent student health issues throughout the entire school journey.

The organizational structure includes a principal, two deputy principals (F-5 and 6–9), and an administrative manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are qualified to teach mathematics and natural sciences in grade 6. The role includes mentorship, where you are part of a team collaborating around the students. You will also be part of a work and subject team that jointly plans and is responsible for the students' schooling.

You are expected to be part of the school's development work, contributing your competencies and skills. In this context, you are also expected to collaborate with others and take initiative to develop the organization.

The position is a temporary assignment at 60% during the autumn term, from August 10 to December 18.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are an engaged educator who puts student learning and well-being at the center. You are a good leader who works to promote safety, well-being, and good relationships. You adapt and stimulate teaching based on students' needs and prerequisites. In your teaching, you value participation to capture students' interest and engagement. You have good skills with digital learning materials and use them in teaching. You see how events outside the organization can affect it. You see connections between different systems. You take initiative and come up with new proposals for working methods to develop the learning of students and the organization.

You have a teaching license, and prior teaching experience is meritorious.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
