Senior AI Architect

Consulting Role – LLM, ML & AI Platform

We are looking for a Senior AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of AI solutions for our clients – from proof-of-concept to scaled production. You are hands-on, advisory, and experienced in navigating between business needs, model selection, data flows, cloud platforms, and governance. You take the lead in technical decision-making and have strong opinions on when LLMs, classical ML, or "no AI at all" is the right answer.

In this role

• Designs end-to-end AI architectures that connect data, models, platforms, and business processes.

• Leads technical decisions regarding LLM-based systems: RAG, agentic workflows, prompt strategies, evaluation, and guardrails.

• Guides teams on MLOps, model lifecycle, data pipelines, monitoring, and cost management.

• Translates business goals into scalable and production-ready AI solutions together with data scientists, AI engineers, and platform teams.

• Contributes to AI governance for the client: frameworks, principles, security, data protection, and responsible AI – including compliance with the EU AI Act and GDPR.

• Acts as a technical mentor and competency builder – both in client delivery and internally within our organization.

Must-have requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in solution, system, or data architecture, including at least 3 years with AI/ML systems in production.

• Practical experience designing and building LLM-based solutions (RAG, agents, tool calling, evaluation).

• Solid understanding of the entire ML lifecycle: data flows, training/fine-tuning, deployment, monitoring, and operations (MLOps).

• Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and experience integrating AI into larger enterprise environments with existing systems and permission models.

• Experience leading technical decisions and communicating with both development teams and decision-makers.

• Programming experience in Python (or similar) – sufficient to review code and build prototypes.

• Academic degree in data, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent – or a comparable background.

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with AI platforms and frameworks such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Databricks, Snowflake Cortex, or Vertex AI.

• Experience with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, OpenAI Assistants, CrewAI, or similar).

• Experience with fine-tuning, model optimization, or evaluating open-source models (Llama, Mistral, etc.).

• Certifications in cloud architecture or AI/ML (e.g., Azure AI Engineer/Solutions Architect, AWS ML Specialty, GCP ML Engineer).

• Experience with AI governance, security, and data protection in AI pipelines – including frameworks for responsible AI and the EU AI Act.

• Experience with enterprise or solution architecture following TOGAF or similar standards.

• Experience mentoring and coaching other architects, developers, or data scientists.
