Do you want to work with adults within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and believe it is important to make a real difference? Then Lingonet's group home is for you.
Lingonet's group home is centrally located in Vedum, where decisions regarding Housing with Special Service for Adults according to LSS are implemented. Here, we work with people with various types of functional impairments, which requires educational background and competence in how to interact with people in a professional and individualized manner.
Your Role
As a Support Pedagogue, you work in close collaboration with the unit manager and colleagues, and you are expected to take significant responsibility for shaping the operations with a focus on pedagogical work.
You are a resource and role model regarding pedagogical work and the interaction with our residents. You work on behalf of the unit manager to ensure the unit's quality work by implementing methods, working practices, and routines. In your role, you guide support assistants so that the support provided to our residents is given in a satisfactory manner in accordance with established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. You also have an overview of and support colleagues in social documentation in Lifecare, based on IBIC in the implementation plans according to current legislation.
You support the residents in their daily lives by creating a predictable, manageable, and understandable existence. You provide professional support by strengthening the user in their daily life and creating conditions for development and an independent life. All work is based on the user's individually drawn-up implementation plan.
You keep yourself updated on what is current within the disability field, with special focus on evidence-based pedagogy, method development, and environmental scanning.
You are part of a network with other support pedagogues within functional support in Vara Municipality and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure the user receives good care, support, and service.
Your Knowledge and Experience
Competence requirements for Support Pedagogue:
You must have a post-secondary education comprising at least 200 YH (University College) credits or 60 higher education credits. The education must have a clear direction towards the disability field.
Other qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of working with low-affective interaction and clarifying pedagogy, communication support such as signs and pictures, etc.
- Experience working with people with various types of functional impairments.
- Knowledge and experience in social documentation according to IBIC (structured documentation, individual's needs in focus).
- You are calm, secure, and stress-resistant with great patience.
- You are proactive and responsible, and have strong faith in people's ability to change and develop.
- You are flexible and have the ability to plan the activities and tasks of work shifts.
- You are engaged and willing to move the operations forward.
- You can work both independently and in a group.
- You are cooperative and strive for good group dynamics in the workplace.
- You have good computer and documentation skills and can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Other Requirements
- You need access to BankID.
- You must be able to show an extract from the police's criminal record register. Type of extract: Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities.
- You also need to be able to show a passport/valid ID card. A driver's license can be shown together with a personal certificate, which you can obtain from skatteverket.se using Bank-ID (can be done at a scheduled interview).
