Do you want to make a difference for children whose parents are in conflict? Welcome to us at the Family Court in Kristianstad! We are an engaged team with high competence in family law – where the best interests of the child are always at the center. The team consists of seven family law secretaries, a team leader, and a unit manager.

Since one of the family law secretaries has had the opportunity to try the position of team leader with us, we are now looking for a replacement for her. Your role with us

As a family law secretary, you work to support children and parents in difficult life situations. You have the ability to look beyond the conflict and focus on the child's needs – and you actively contribute to preventing children from being harmed.

Your duties include among other things:

• providing counseling to separated parents
• conducting information meetings
• carrying out cooperation meetings with parents who need support to reach agreements in family law matters concerning common children
• on behalf of the court, conduct and write opinions and investigations in custody, residence, and visitation cases
• on behalf of parents, draw up agreements on custody, residence, and visitation
• investigate paternity and parenthood
• investigate and follow up on adoptions

Who are we looking for?

You who apply have a degree in social work and experience in authority work within the area of social child care. We would also like you to have experience in family law work. It is important that you find it easy to work with other people, which means you are unpretentious, good at listening, showing empathy, and respect. Finally, you need to have a Category B driver's license for a manual gearbox to easily navigate our municipality when needed.

When a candidate is offered employment, anyone who in their work directly and regularly comes into contact with children must show an extract from the police criminal record register according to the provisions in 2013:852 of the Social Services Act.
