Fritid Helsingborg works to create a rich and sustainable leisure offering for everyone in Helsingborg. We do this by offering attractive youth clubs, activity houses, and meeting places, open and accessible sports facilities, exciting events and experiences, and support for the city's associations.

At our youth clubs, activity houses, and meeting places, we work towards goals in line with what the committee has decided and the development of the operations. Our focus is on youth influence, health, experiences, and interests that enrich young people's free time. We collaborate closely with schools, civil society, associations, and other departments within the city.

Job Responsibilities

As a youth leader with us, you work to create a safe, creative, and stimulating environment together with Helsingborg's youth. With the youth perspective as a starting point, you help develop future leisure activities. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and supporting young people in planning and implementing their own ideas, activities, and events.
  • Developing operations with a focus on youth participation, where gaming and physical activity meet.
  • Leading, planning, and evaluating your own work, both independently and in collaboration with others.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and innovative! You are an initiative-taking and driving team player who finds it easy to collaborate and create engagement together with young people. Since the role requires personal responsibility, you are also independent, service-oriented, and good at working systematically and communicating in speech and writing.

  • Requirements: Post-secondary education as a youth leader, health educator, or social worker for at least 2 years, or post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the profession. Documented experience working with young people aged 12–19. Good IT skills (Office package) and a B-driver's license are also required.
  • Plus: It is a big plus if you have knowledge in technology and gaming/e-sports, experience in associations/physical activity, project management, or documented knowledge of norm-critical perspectives and gender equality.
