Färjestads Equestrian Club is looking for an Operations Manager with a passion for horse welfare, leadership, and business development

About the role

Färjestads Equestrian Club is in an expansion phase with a newly built facility and great opportunities to further develop the business. As a certified riding school, we stand for safety, quality, and long-term development for both horses and humans.

We are now looking for an Operations Manager who wants to lead and further develop our operations. The role combines strategic work with operational presence and suits you if you thrive in a leadership role and want to be close to the daily operations.

A particular focus in the role is to create a stable, safe, and developmental environment for employees, students, and members – in line with our vision of an inclusive equestrian club where both horses and humans can grow together. We are therefore looking for you who want to build culture, create structure, and develop both people and operations in an association that means a lot to many.

As Operations Manager with us, you will have a central role in continuing to develop the operations, strengthening the team, and creating conditions for long-term sustainability and quality.

The assignment includes among other things:

• leading, planning, and following up on daily operations
• developing the riding school operations based on the business's goals and needs
• creating conditions for a well-functioning team and a good work environment where employees can develop and thrive
• responsible for the business's economy and working with planning and follow-up based on the business's goals
• ensuring a well-maintained facility and a high level of horse welfare
• collaborating with members, guardians, the municipality, and other external actors
• contributing to the development of both horses, students, and operations

The role also includes teaching to a certain extent (approx. 30–50% depending on the extent of the position and the needs of the operations).

We are looking for you who

• are a secure, clear, and structured leader with experience of personnel responsibility and the ability to build a strong team and establish working methods. You are good at setting frameworks, following up on operations, and contributing to a work environment where both employees and operations develop long-term.
• work solution-oriented and have the ability to drive issues forward, even in periods of high tempo or change
• have good collaboration skills and create trusting relationships with employees, members, guardians, and external partners
• are used to taking responsibility for the whole, priorities, and follow-up in operations
• have thorough knowledge of horses and a strong commitment to horse welfare
• have experience working in riding school operations or similar operations
• have relevant education within equestrian sports, such as a hippological education or SRL II at the lowest

Meritorious qualifications

• experience working in riding school operations in a similar position.
• experience with grant management and municipal collaboration.
• good knowledge of the Office package
• experience working with social media and competence in digital platforms, such as Xenophon or Sitevision.

Employment

Permanent, part-time or full-time with start date as agreed. Driver's license is a requirement (BE category is meritorious).
