Description

The Ingesund University College of Music (MHI) is part of the Department of Artistic Studies at Karlstad University and serves as the university's second campus in Arvika. MHI is a well-regarded institution with strong student recruitment. Here, subject teacher degrees in music are offered, with a focus on upper secondary school, aiming to train artistic educators qualified for upper secondary schools, comprehensive schools, as well as music and arts schools. MHI and Karlstad University also now have the authority to award artistic degrees at the bachelor's and master's levels.

Rhythmics constitutes a central part of the broad competencies that music teacher students are expected to develop. Through rhythmics, children's creativity, musicality, and participation are promoted, and the subject unites music, movement, and learning in both practical and theoretical teaching. As a teacher of rhythmics, you contribute to the students' music didactic and artistic development, work methodically with improvisation and music creation, and participate in course development in close collaboration with colleagues.

We are now seeking a University Lecturer in Music with a specialization in Rhythmics who wishes to strengthen and further develop our educational environment.
