Do you want to help develop teaching so that more adults succeed in their studies? We are now looking for a special needs teacher in mathematics for adult education – with the opportunity to help build something new.

The person we are looking for is an engaged and development-oriented special needs teacher with a focus on mathematics. Here, you will have a key role in strengthening the quality of teaching by supporting and challenging educators in their work.

Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher, you have a comprehensive and development-oriented assignment where the focus is on contributing to accessible and inclusive mathematics education. You work closely with colleagues and provide support in developing working methods, approaches, and learning environments so that more students achieve their goals.

You identify patterns and needs in the operations, initiate measures, and drive development work together with the educators. The role also includes mentoring staff and acting as a qualified sounding board in pedagogical matters.

Direct support to students occurs, but is not the main focus of the assignment.

The assignment also includes developing and establishing adapted adult education together with us – a task where you are expected to take initiative and contribute to building an operation from the ground up.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• identifying needs for development in teaching and learning environments
• mentoring and supporting teachers in special pedagogical and didactic matters
• contributing to the development of inclusive working methods within mathematics
• analyzing and following up on support measures at the operational level
• being an active pedagogical sounding board in the collegium
• contributing to the establishment of adapted adult education

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher with a special needs teaching degree, with a focus on mathematics
• is independent, courageous, and driven in your work
• has strong pedagogical skills and thrives in a mentoring role
• has an easy time building trust and meeting colleagues in a listening and professional manner
• can challenge and develop teaching through dialogue and collaboration
• has experience or interest in adult education

Your collaboration is deeply linked to your ability to cooperate and participate in the development of yourself and the operations. Here, this means you have good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and in the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through a customer- and service focus. You take responsibility for involving yourself in operational matters and are solution-oriented.
