About the Unit

The Authority Unit HVO belongs to the Social Services Administration in Lomma Municipality and works on behalf of the Social Services Board. The purpose of the operations is to provide support and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities in Lomma Municipality to enable them to live independent lives. The goal is to ensure legal certainty and, together in multidisciplinary teams, to investigate and assess individual needs, make decisions, and follow up on decided measures in accordance with the Social Services Act. Our mandate also includes providing service and information about the municipality's tasks and measures.

Currently, nine skilled employees and one senior benefit administrator work in the unit. All employees have many years of experience within social services and are passionate about social work with the elderly and people with disabilities. Job Responsibilities

The role of Benefit Administrator SOL involves, based on current legislation and practice in the field, being responsible for authority exercise in the form of investigating, assessing, deciding, and following up on decisions for the elderly and people with disabilities according to the Social Services Act (SOL). The work includes contact with the individual, possible representatives, and relatives, as well as the ability to work together in a multidisciplinary team with other professional categories to utilize the competence around the user. The work implies a high degree of independence in the mandate as well as close cooperation and coordination with other professions.

Qualifications and Merits

Requirements:

  • We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work and have experience working within authority exercise.

Meritorious:

  • It is meritorious if you have at least one year of current work experience from authority exercise of the Social Services Act.
  • It is meritorious if you have worked with coordinating discharge-ready users from hospitals.
  • It is meritorious if you have worked in the operational systems LifeCare and Mina Planer.
  • It is meritorious to have worked with authority exercise directed towards the elderly and people with disabilities.

As an employee with us, it is important that you have the ability to work independently and can plan and structure your work. You have a good understanding of the different parts of authority exercise and see the value in both the professional meeting with individuals and in the administrative work. You are receptive, humble, goal-oriented, and responsible in relation to both your own mandate and the unit's common responsibility. You need to be able to express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing and have the ability to maintain an objective perspective in different situations. You also have the ability to handle and review comments and complaints in a nuanced manner. You need to be able to cycle, as travel between Lomma and Bjärred mainly takes place by bicycle. It is meritorious if you, in addition to that, have a driver's license.
