Engaged Activity Leader, Temporary Position

About the role

Individkraft operates day activities for individuals covered by Group 1 under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We primarily work with creative tasks such as crafts, art, music, gaming, and data/media. In addition, we offer various forms of health and wellness activities.

In this role, you will plan and conduct activities with participants, both in groups and individually. Together, you will create a positive environment for meaningful, developing engagement and a joyful social context.

You will work in a supportive, training-oriented, and motivational manner to guide and help participants achieve their individual goals. The role requires that you are skilled at motivating and inspiring others and finding creative solutions.

You will also provide support during activities, where you will "catch" individuals who need extra personal assistance to perform their tasks. You will also work with people with various disabilities and provide practical support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meals.

About you

We are looking for you who have a high school education in nursing/care, preferably with a focus on disabilities, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Alternatively, a post-secondary education within one of our areas of operation may be considered.

You should feel confident in your role and have at least 3 years of experience working with this target group. You should feel confident handling problem-causing behavior. If you have knowledge in one or more of our activities, such as crafts, health/wellness, data/media, gaming, art, or music, this is a significant asset.

It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education and training in communication, for example, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) or similar methods.

A key part of your work is maintaining social documentation. Therefore, it is necessary that you master Swedish well, both in speech and writing.

You feel comfortable working independently and can be flexible based on our participants' wishes and needs. You are unpretentious, curious, have a positive attitude, and enjoy collaborating. You thrive when there is a lot happening and are good at prioritizing. You need to have the ability to listen and put yourself in other people's situations, and you have good empathetic skills. You enjoy working in a structured, quality-conscious, and solution-focused manner based on each participant's individual needs.

You see the value in seeing others grow and have genuine empathetic and sympathetic abilities, as well as a low-affective approach when needed.
