Description

I am an 8-year-old boy looking for a new assistant to join my team. I have a severe visual impairment, epilepsy, and a significant care need. I am now looking for you who wants to work daytime hours, 08:00 - 16:00, on weekends, as well as extra shifts as needed. My assistance covers active time around the clock, so it is good if you can be flexible with your working hours when picking up extra shifts. I alternate living with my dad in Staffanstorp and my mom in Malmö every other week, so flexibility regarding the workplace is also appreciated.

Job Responsibilities

I need practical personal assistance with everything in my daily life. Heavy lifting may occur, so it is good if you have some strength in your arms and back. I enjoy swinging, going for walks, crafting, reading books, and listening to music. Due to my visual impairment, you need to talk to me constantly, tell me what is happening, what we are going to do, and guide me through all the moments of the day. Since I do not communicate verbally but through body language, it is important that you are attentive and focused on how I am feeling and what I want. My parents are always present to provide extra security for you at the beginning of your employment.

Qualifications

You need to be sensitive to my needs, attentive, responsible, and calm and confident in yourself. I have epileptic seizures daily, and in those situations, I need to feel that you can handle stressful circumstances.

The person I am looking for must have patience and a warm approach. You must enjoy being physically close to me and working based on relationships. Presence, clear communication, and security are the foundation of my assistance. Being an assistant for me means a job with great responsibility but also much closeness, meaning, and the opportunity to make a real difference – every day.

The work with me can be combined with studies or other employment.

I would prefer that the applicant is female.

Conditions

You have experience with personal assistance or care. You are a non-smoker.

Employment terms according to the collective agreement Kommunal-Fremia.
