About Patia Ankarholmen

Patia Ankarholmen is a collective supported housing facility located south of Umeå. Here, we offer individually adapted support to adult clients with substance abuse issues, mental health challenges, co-occurring disorders, criminal backgrounds, or other socially destructive behaviors. Placements are made on behalf of the social services. Our mission is to create a safe, structured, and professional environment where each client has the opportunity to strengthen their skills and take steps toward a more stable and independent life.

About the Position

As an on-call residential support worker, you will work during the absence of permanent staff. You will actively participate in the daily operations of the unit, working closely with clients and providing support based on individual needs. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends, including on-call sleeping duty. You will work in both the collective facility and our training apartments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supportive conversations and motivational work.
• ADL support (e.g., structure, cleaning, cooking, daily routines).
• Support in contacts with authorities or healthcare providers.
• Documentation and record-keeping in accordance with the Social Services Act.
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Accompanying clients to healthcare or authority meetings when necessary.

Your Profile

You have a genuine interest in working with people and thrive in a role where no two days are alike. We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, secure, and stable, even in situations requiring quick assessments.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have or are studying for a relevant education, such as treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, social worker, or another behavioral science degree.
• Have experience with the target group or previous work within the social services sector.
• Have knowledge of methods such as MI (Motivational Interviewing), relapse prevention, or Crime as a Lifestyle.

A B-class driver's license is required.

Employment Conditions

• On-call employment (Vidbehovsanställning).
• Working hours: daytime, evenings, and weekends including on-call sleeping duty.
• A certificate of good conduct (extract from the police record) is required prior to employment.
• Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis.
