Welcome to Barnens MontessoriAkademi on Torstenssonsgatan. Our preschool is located in a beautiful turn-of-the-century building on Östermalm, close to the greenery, parks, and museums of Djurgården.

We put the children at the center of our work. Our diverse activities create opportunities for every child to develop and discover their interests. Our practice is based on Montessori pedagogy and the Swedish Preschool Curriculum (Lpfö 18).

The preschool houses 40 children across two departments: Månen (1–3 years) and Solen (3–6 years).

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who...

– Is a trained childcare worker with additional training in Montessori pedagogy, or is a certified Montessori educator. We place great value on education in Montessori pedagogy and long-term experience working in a Montessori preschool.

– Is goal-oriented and enjoys development work.

– Wants to work with our oldest children in the preschool.

– Is responsible and has experience leading colleagues within Montessori pedagogy.

– Actively contributes to the preschool's pedagogical work with joy and commitment, focusing on the best interests of the children.

– Is passionate about children's development and learning.

– Is self-assured and appreciates a calm and harmonious work environment.

– Has strong collaboration skills and builds good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.

– Has extensive experience conducting developmental meetings and systematic quality work.

– Has an eye for order and the little extras. We cherish a beautiful and well-maintained indoor environment.

– Has experience working with children with special needs.

– Enjoys being outdoors and conducting education in nature.

– Has good computer skills and digital competence.

– Communicates very well in both spoken and written Swedish.

About the position

– The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period.

– The position is located on our oldest children's department.

– You will join friendly colleagues who value a good work climate. We have close cooperation between educators and the principal.
