We are looking for a support pedagogue who wants to drive pedagogical and quality development work for children and young people in short-term stays and leisure supervision under the LSS Act.
Your Role
You will be part of a team consisting of support assistants, support educators, and care pedagogues. Everyone works with the goal of enabling our young people to live as independent a life as possible.
As a support pedagogue within short-term stays and leisure supervision according to the LSS Act, you have a statutory and professional responsibility for the support measures. You provide support and services based on the child's/young person's needs and wishes, as well as based on the individual implementation plan.
The support measures are based on the individual needs of children and young people to promote abilities, integrity, participation, and self-determination. A workday may, among other things, consist of providing support and help with pedagogical support regarding activities, meals, planning, reminders, social situations, personal care, cleaning, laundry, and other assistance needed by the person you support. It also includes managing the unit's premises, cooking, and shopping.
The work involves actively implementing and developing methodological work. Furthermore, you initiate and draw up individual action plans, conduct risk assessments when necessary, and are responsible for the creation and follow-up of implementation plans and documentation. The work includes care work and handling challenging situations. We work solution-focused at the unit.
At our workplace, you work both in a team and independently. Since you will supervise your colleagues in pedagogical development work, it is important that you feel secure and have a genuine interest in working with people and developing pedagogical approaches.
- Working hours are irregular, including days, evenings, on-call shifts, nights, and weekends.
- The work is very varied and looks very different from day to day depending on which children/young people are present on a specific day.
- In addition, you are responsible for maintaining close and good cooperation with guardians, relatives, schools, and other professionals within healthcare.
Other duties:
- Ensure quality in operations based on users' support needs.
- Supervision in methods and strategies within the work team.
Your Experience
- Trained support pedagogue or equivalent pedagogical education, for example, post-secondary education of 200 YH or 60 HP in the field of disability/behavioral science.
- Good knowledge of pedagogical methods, e.g., within clarifying pedagogy.
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience in drawing up and following up on implementation plans and other social documentation.
- Experience working actively as a support pedagogue within LSS (children & youth) or alternatively within LSS (adults).
- Knowledge of low-affective handling (low-arousal approach).
- Experience working with welfare technology and quality assurance of work.
- Knowledge and experience of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
Meritorious:
- Previous experience working with children and young people with functional variations.
Is this you?
You have experience of independent work with your own structure as well as close teamwork with different professional categories. You have knowledge of evidence-based methods, welfare technology, and health-promoting attitudes, and can meet each individual based on their abilities.

About the Workplace
At short-term stays and supervision, we work to provide support to children, young people, and young adults with functional variations. The work is varied and very developmental as you meet a broad spectrum within intellectual disability, autism, and NPD diagnoses at the unit.

The support is individually adapted and based on the individual's needs to guarantee good living conditions and a good life. It is based on active interest from us and a willingness to listen and understand. Through motivating and practically supportive measures, we help people meet and handle different situations in everyday life with the goal that they should live as independent a life as possible based on their abilities. Support is provided both in the facility's premises and in everyday activities out in society.
