Jättestenskolan is Grums Municipality's only school for grades 4-9, located in the town of Grums. We have approximately 460 students distributed across 21 classes. Each class has its own mentor(s), and all classes have their own home classroom. The school also includes a special needs school. A sports and swimming hall is located within the school grounds. Sports fields, an ice rink, cross-country/orienteering trails, a library, and more are within walking distance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

At Jättestenskolan, we believe that trusting relationships between teachers and students are a prerequisite for our students' success. Therefore, we are looking for a positive and engaged teacher who, with enthusiasm and commitment, creates a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation. Teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the pedagogical work are important pillars. The work is carried out in close collaboration with your colleagues in the work team. Together, you create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and actively participate in the school's development work.

You have the ability to adapt teaching to each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calmness, and a desire to learn. We also believe that you have good leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom, that you can take initiative, are receptive, and have an easy time building good and trusting relationships.

We would appreciate it if you have a good ability to use digital technology in teaching, as well as as a tool for information, planning, and documentation. At our school, all students in grades 4-9 have access to their own Chromebook and digital learning materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained and licensed teacher in Swedish/English. You should have good subject knowledge within your subject areas. We would appreciate it if you have previous experience as a mentor/class teacher.
