Psychologist/Behavioral Scientist at HMC Occupational Health

At HMC Occupational Health, you will have a varied and developmental role where you work closely with individuals, managers, and organizations – always with a focus on work ability, preventive measures, and long-term health.

As a psychologist/behavioral scientist at HMC, your responsibilities include:

  • The main tasks involve short-term contact sessions/short-term treatment for individuals, concerning both their work and private situations. This may involve strengthening work ability or proposing relevant follow-up after assessment interviews.

  • As a psychologist/behavioral scientist, you handle various assignments for employers and their employees. To work with us, you are expected to have a general knowledge of the legal requirements for employers regarding the work environment, or a strong interest in learning them.

  • Manager consultations, conflict management, and other interventions at the group and organizational levels.

  • Training/lectures on topics such as stress management and group development are in demand, and experience in conducting training is considered an asset.

  • The role requires high social competence in dealing with both employers and employees.

  • Counseling/therapy commissioned by insurance companies is also part of the role, typically involving up to 10 sessions per individual.

You work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and are a key part of our client companies' work environment efforts.

Education and Experience:

✔ Licensed psychologist, behavioral scientist, or social worker with at least Step 1 CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

✔ Several years of experience in qualified treatment and counseling work

✔ Experience working at the group and organizational levels

✔ It is an asset to have basic knowledge in work and organizational psychology as well as experience with work-related mental health issues.

✔ It is an asset if you have previous experience working in occupational health services.

✔ You have good computer skills and are fluent in Swedish (both spoken and written) as well as having good knowledge of English.

✔ The position involves travel, so you must have a driver's license and access to a car.

Employment Details: Hourly position with the prospect of a permanent position at 40-60% in the future. We apply a 6-month probation period.

Location: Mobile position with assignments primarily at our unit in Landskrona, but also assignments in Arlöv/Malmö/Lund and client companies.
