Svea Boende is looking for an experienced and dedicated Family Home Consultant with operational and personnel responsibility, who will also serve as the Director under the Social Services Act (SoL). This position is central to our family home unit and combines qualified social work with leadership, quality assurance, and operational development. The role is part-time, 30 hours per week, with immediate start, located in Stockholm or Malmö.

About the Operation

The Family Home Unit is tasked with recruiting, investigating, and proposing foster homes and emergency shelters to municipal social services boards, as well as providing continuous support, supervision, and follow-up to the homes receiving placed children and young people. Our work is characterized by high professionalism, a clear child rights perspective, and close collaboration with municipalities.

About the Role

In the role of Family Home Consultant with operational responsibility, you are responsible for the overall management of the Family Home Unit. This involves both operational work and overarching responsibility for leadership, quality, and development of the operation.

Your main areas of responsibility include:

• Leading, planning, and developing the Family Home Unit based on the operation's goals and assignments
• Having personnel responsibility for employees within the Family Home Unit
• Recruiting, investigating, training, and supervising foster and emergency homes
• Monitoring placements and ensuring high quality and legal certainty
• Collaborating and maintaining ongoing contact with placing municipalities
• Ensuring the operation is conducted in accordance with current legislation, permits, and regulations
• Fulfilling the assignment as Director under the Social Services Act (SoL)
• Responsibility for the operation's budget, including planning, follow-up, and analysis to ensure long-term economic sustainability

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Degree in Social Work or other equivalent academic education
• Several years of experience working within foster care and/or emergency shelter care
• Very good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL), BBIC, and relevant regulations
• Documented experience in recruiting, investigating, supporting, and supervising foster homes
• Sufficient competence and experience for the assignment as Director under the Social Services Act (SoL)

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in operational and personnel responsibility
• Experience in supervision, self-control, and/or contact with the Swedish Inspectorate of Social Services (IVO)
• Further education in supervision, trauma, children's needs, or leadership
