Are you a specialist physician with specialist competence in psychiatry and do you want to help develop psychiatric care in the area? We are currently looking for specialist physicians in psychiatry for our general psychiatric clinics in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. There are opportunities to combine work at multiple clinics and flexibility in the arrangement.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Landskrona and Ängelholm, as well as Drottninggatan in Helsingborg, both belong to the Business Area (VO) Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg and are part of the Administration for Psychiatry, Habilitation, and Assistive Devices. Here, patients are primarily assessed and treated for affective disorders, anxiety conditions, as well as various forms of personality disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions.

The clinics are at the forefront of development and work with standardized care pathways and team-based care. You will therefore have the opportunity to work with and contribute to psychiatric care characterized by collaboration, openness, and quality. Each clinic consists of approximately 30 employees from various professional categories, including doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of specialist physician, your main responsibility is to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established, proven experience. Here you will often encounter individuals with complex and interesting care pathways and a need for in-depth psychiatric assessment, where you, with your competence, have great opportunities to make a difference.

As a doctor with us, you are given great opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, welcoming your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

Since we receive medical students from basic education, you are expected to contribute to supervision for all levels of trainee doctors. Since the operation is classified as university healthcare, this means we actively invest in both research and teaching, with several exciting ongoing research projects in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are a licensed physician with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You must have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

Since we work in teams, it is important that you communicate easily and have good skills in collaborating and coordinating different tasks. You work within defined frameworks and given guidelines, with the patient's best interests in focus. Personal suitability and good teamwork skills are highly valued.

At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as doctors in training, and as co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience of supervision and teaching at different levels.
