37-year-old man in Täby/Norrtälje seeks substitute for day-and-night shifts

I am looking for an immediate substitute who can start an introduction with me in May. For the right person, there is also an opportunity for continued work, both on a fixed schedule (part-time) and as a casual employee.

I am a 37-year-old man currently living in Täby, but I plan to move to Norrtälje this summer.

I am looking for assistants of a similar age to myself who wish to work with me as my personal assistant.

Some of my interests include various types of museums, cinema, concerts, music, genealogy, and history. I am very interested in hockey, and AIK is the team closest to my heart. It would be great if you also like hockey and perhaps even AIK, but if you prefer another team, that is perfectly fine.

I use a wheelchair and need help with eating, drinking, dressing and undressing, showering, and toilet routines – essentially everything. I have personal assistance to enable me to live my life, and I enjoy going out and doing things outside the home, which is my primary focus. I understand everything but cannot speak verbally. When communicating, I use body language and an alphabet board to convey what I want. I am currently working on obtaining a new eye-tracking communication device.

I have had a severe cerebral palsy (CP) since birth, muscle spasticity, and epilepsy. I occasionally experience mild seizures that drain my strength and energy, but they always pass on their own. It can be frustrating not always to be understood, so patience is appreciated. I am a man with a great sense of humor, so I appreciate someone who laughs easily and is positive. I also value initiative and suggestions for fun activities during the day. You should be flexible – willing to suggest ideas but also understanding that my daily mood and energy levels may vary. I have a King Charles Spaniel, so it is good if you are not allergic to dogs. Sometimes I also look after a small West Highland White Terrier for my sister. I enjoy swimming, so it would be a plus if you do too and are not allergic to chlorine. I like playing board games, as it allows me to roll dice and play independently, which gives me a sense of autonomy. During the summers, I am sometimes at my country house in Riala. Due to poor connectivity there, it is helpful if you have a driver's license and access to a car, but this is not a requirement for applying.

When do you need to start?
Work involves day-and-night shifts from 08:00 to 08:00, including on-call duties.

I do not require previous experience in similar work; personal suitability is valued most highly. I particularly welcome male applicants.

Employment Conditions
Hourly wage. Employment terms, on-call compensation, occupational pension, etc., are regulated according to the current collective agreement.
