Are you a specialist physician with specialist competence in psychiatry and do you want to help develop psychiatric care in the area? We are currently looking for specialist physicians in psychiatry for our general psychiatric clinics in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. There are opportunities to combine work at both clinics and flexibility in the setup.

The adult psychiatric clinics in Landskrona and Ängelholm, as well as Drottninggatan in Helsingborg, both belong to the Business Area (VO) Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg and are part of the Administration for Psychiatry, Habilitation, and Assistive Devices. Here, patients with affective disorders, anxiety conditions, as well as various forms of personality syndromes and neuropsychiatric conditions are primarily assessed and treated.

The clinics are at the forefront of development and work with standardized care pathways and team-based care. Consequently, you will have the opportunity to work with and contribute to psychiatric care characterized by collaboration, openness, and quality. Each clinic consists of approximately 30 employees from various professional categories, including doctors, nurses, counselors, psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.

Job Description

In the role of a specialist physician, your main task is to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established, proven experience. Here, you will often encounter individuals with complex and exciting care pathways and a need for in-depth psychiatric assessment, where you, with your competence, have great opportunities to make a difference.

As a doctor with us, you are given great opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

Since we receive medical students from the basic education program, you are expected to contribute with supervision to all levels of trainee doctors. Since the operation is classified as university healthcare, this means that we actively invest in both research and teaching, where there are several exciting ongoing research projects in the area.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed physician with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

You have a desire to develop yourself, your colleagues, and the operation. Furthermore, you are willing to share your competence and collaborate with others, and you are accustomed to working in various support systems. Since we work in teams, it is important that you communicate easily and have good skills in collaborating and coordinating different tasks. You work within established frameworks and given guidelines and have the patient's best interest in focus. Personal suitability and good teamwork skills are highly valued.

At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This you may have acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students as well as doctors in training, and as a co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience of supervision and teaching at different levels.
