About the workplace

Our facility is beautifully located in northwestern Scania (Skåne). We welcome girls aged 15–21 who are placed according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young People (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individual care for girls who need a smaller setting and more comprehensive support. In collaboration with the social services, we have the opportunity to tailor the setup to the specific needs of each young person. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods, where Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) play a central role.

Your role

In the role of Treatment Assistant, you will work individually with the young person to provide support and care in daily life. The goal is to establish a secure relationship where the young person wants and dares to accept the offered support. You will be part of a team that collectively plans the work around the young person, and our vision is that you will not feel alone despite working individually.

Duties include practical tasks such as support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), cooking, cleaning, medication management, social contacts, and transportation. An important aspect is motivating the young person to develop their unique strengths and build competence. You also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and the ability to inspire. The work includes documentation.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, a post-secondary education of at least two years is required in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Experience with the target group is meritorious, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Neuropsychiatric Disabilities (NPD).

We expect you to be warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's ability to change. Furthermore, you should be patient, self-assured, and capable of handling conflicts constructively while maintaining calm in stressful situations.

Computer skills and experience with documentation are important, meaning you should have good verbal and written communication skills.

Other

Start date: According to agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.

Working hours: Irregular working hours, mostly 24-hour shifts distributed across weekdays and weekends.

Based on the target group and their needs, we only welcome female applicants for this position.

We require extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record registers prior to employment.

A valid Class B driver's license is required.

Interviews will be held continuously, so do not wait to submit your application.
