Job Description

Within the Service Area Process Gävle-Sundsvall, we work with process technology primarily for industrial customers in the local area, but also for clients in other parts of Sweden and abroad. Together with colleagues worldwide within AFRY, we are one of the leading players in the industry. According to the internationally recognized ENR ranking of consulting firms, AFRY is, for example, number one globally in the pulp and paper industry. This means that with us, you will work on the most interesting projects and with the most competent consultants.

We collaborate closely with the global AFRY network, as well as with the other 150 process engineers in Sweden and with other engineering disciplines. AFRY works on everything from concept studies to execution projects and commissioning. Additionally, we perform tuning and troubleshooting in existing facilities.

Your task will be to continue strengthening and developing the team through recruitment and employee development. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to creating new business, primarily within the region. Collaboration with others within the process discipline, both locally and globally, as well as with other engineering disciplines, is very important.

The role includes, among other things:

• Coaching and leading the consultants in the team, ensuring we have employees who thrive and develop with us.
• Driving sales, maintaining contact with new and existing customers to ensure we support them in the best way possible.
• Writing and presenting proposals to our customers.
• Responsible for recruitment and team development in collaboration with our recruiter, business developer, peer managers, and your manager.
• Responsible for your Service Area's budget and driving operations toward set goals.
• Responsible for the team's assignments and leading them when necessary.

The tasks are highly dynamic, and you will work with multiple contact points, both externally and internally. You will be granted significant freedom in your role and will have the opportunity to test your methods for achieving success, of course with support from your manager.

The location will be at our office in central Gävle or central Sundsvall.

Qualifications

We expect you to:

• Hold a university degree in engineering or equivalent relevant knowledge.
• Have at least five years of professional experience in a relevant area within the process industry.
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Have leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop technical teams.
• Have experience in business development and sales, including preparing proposals and presentations for customers.
• Demonstrate competence in budget management and financial responsibility for business operations.

The following are considered meritorious:

• Previous experience within the consulting industry.
• An established professional network within the process industry in the region.
• Experience working in matrix organizations with global teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in recruitment and competence development.
• Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry or similar process-intensive sectors.
• Experience in strategic business planning and performance management.
