About the role

We see an increased need and are therefore launching an additional team, with the goal of being able to receive more young people in urgent need of safety and support outside the home. Each place with us is an opportunity for stability, recovery, and a new direction forward.

As a therapist, you will meet young people in an emotionally demanding situation. Many carry trauma, anxiety, and neuropsychiatric disabilities, where outwardly aggressive behaviors may occur. You build trusting relationships and create an environment as home-like as possible.

You will also observe, map, and assess needs until the situation stabilizes and the young person is ready to move home or to need-adapted care. In the meantime, you plan daily activities with a focus on creating small progress that builds self-esteem and hope for the future.

The work involves documentation according to current legal requirements as well as collaboration with, for example, social services, guardians, and other actors around the young person.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least 2 years of post-secondary education in social work or behavioral science
  • Experience working with young people, preferably within HVB (residential care) or similar operations
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

We consider it meritorious if you have:

  • Education or courses adapted for the target group
  • Experience working with NPD (Neuropsychological Disabilities) and outwardly aggressive as well as challenging behaviors such as self-harm, OCD, or eating disorders
  • Knowledge of low-affective handling as well as management of threats and violence
  • Basic knowledge of BBIC.
  • Experience with journal systems

Personal qualities

To thrive in the role, you need to be a person with a low-affective and reflective approach. You can meet strong emotions and see your own handling as an important tool in the work with young people's development and change. You need to be comfortable working independently with the young person and making your own decisions, but at the same time value collegial support and collaboration.

You:

  • are stable even when young people are angry, rejecting, or challenging
  • can combine clear boundaries with warmth and care
  • have the ability to build relationships over time
  • are responsible, flexible, and a team player

We offer you

With us, you don't just step into a job, you become part of something that is growing and making a real difference. We want you to thrive, develop, and have the energy to do a good job. Therefore, we invest in giving you:

  • A secure introduction where you get the right prerequisites from the start and support along the way
  • Opportunity to develop continuously through education based on the operation's needs and your own ambitions
  • A generous wellness allowance for recovery and balance
  • Regular supervision that strengthens you in the assignment
  • The chance to be part of building and shaping a new team from scratch
