RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher at the Open Preschool in Eda Municipality, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up on, and developing the pedagogical activities, guided by the Preschool Curriculum (Lpfö 18). The activity is directed at children aged 0–6 years together with their guardians and serves as an important meeting place for support, community, and early preventive measures.

The assignment is characterized by a promoting and preventive approach where the child's development, the family's needs, and collaboration with other actors are in focus.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan and carry out pedagogical activities that stimulate children's development, learning, and social interaction in collaboration with guardians.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and adults.
• Strengthen guardians in their parenting role through dialogue, guidance, and pedagogical support.
• Work relationally and contribute to building networks between families.
• Observe and pay attention to children's needs and, if necessary, initiate collaboration with other professions and activities, such as Child Health Services (BVC), social services, or other parts of the municipality's family support.
• Document, follow up, and evaluate the activity in accordance with current policy documents.
• Contribute to the municipality's collective work regarding children and families, including cross-professional collaboration.

Responsibilities and authority:

• Be responsible for the pedagogical content, quality, and collaboration in the activity.
• Ensure that the activity is conducted in accordance with laws, policy documents, and municipal guidelines.
• Contribute to a professional and respectful treatment of all visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed preschool teacher.
• Good knowledge of the preschool's policy documents and children's development and learning.
• Experience working with young children and preferably with family support.

The position may involve close cooperation with other activities within the municipality and therefore requires good collaboration skills as well as an understanding of a cross-professional approach.
