The grocery industry is undergoing a shift with digitalization and automation high on the agenda. By working faster and more strategically with data, Axfood can meet increased competition and new customer demands.

You will become part of Axfood IT, which has one of the largest IT departments in the food industry with over 300 employees. Here, you will be involved in work that increases organizational efficiency through a more data-driven approach and continues to develop future logistics solutions. Axfood IT is at the forefront of digital development and new technology in areas such as the digital customer meeting, e-commerce, and working methods.

The role of Application Engineer within ServiceNow

In this role, you will become part of a team working with ServiceNow, one of the world's leading platforms for digital workflows and service management. The platform has been used within Axfood since 2011 and currently serves as a central support for several business-critical processes in the organization. ServiceNow is used to manage and automate everything from IT support and internal service cases to fault reports and other business flows, for example, related to pricing and store items. The platform is widely used by both IT and store staff and plays a vital role in creating efficient, structured, and traceable processes in the business.

You will work in a team responsible for ensuring efficient solutions for how workflows, service processes, and various types of requests are handled within the organization. The team does not own the operational processes themselves but focuses on developing, improving, and optimizing the functionality of the platform.

The team works agilely according to Scrum in sprints and handles both ongoing development and improvement work.

You will, among other things:

  • Configure and adapt the platform based on business needs.
  • Work with automation and process efficiency to create maximum value for Axfood's business and users.
  • Design and develop new features within ServiceNow.
  • Participate in development initiatives from a technical perspective.

In the role, you will also have the opportunity to take relevant training within ServiceNow to strengthen your competence in the platform.

Talent Program – the bridge between studies and career

Nexer Tech Talent are specialists in giving young tech talents the ultimate start in working life. We tailor talent programs that provide a seamless transition between studies and career, where work is combined with education, mentoring, and social activities.

As a participant in a talent program, you will be employed by Nexer Tech Talent but have a role as an Application Developer at Axfood in Stockholm. You will become part of a group of talents who all participate in a tailored educational program where you monthly get the opportunity to develop and deepen your technical knowledge in combination with training in areas such as leadership and personal development. You will be coached by a mentor at Axfood as well as a consulting manager at Nexer Tech Talent. After successful completion of the talent program, the intention is that you will be offered a position at Axfood.

We are looking for you who have:

  • A vocational or higher education in IT.
  • Programming skills in Javascript.
  • Work experience from a service or customer support role.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

  • Good communication skills and enjoy customer contact.
  • Solution-oriented and enjoy thinking new thoughts and improving.
  • Curious and driven in your own competence development.
  • You are a positive team player who is easy to work with and appreciates your colleagues.
