Full Stack Developer at SAS Digital & IT

Scandinavian Airlines System SAS is looking for a Full Stack Developer for our Digital Customer Solutions team. Our teams build digital services to help customers find, buy, and change SAS services and products, and to enable smooth travel. To continue our transformation journey, we are looking for full-stack developers to bring further energy, competence, and skills to our teams.

Challenges you will work on

In this role, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Understand business needs and translate them into working software.
  • Secure application compliance with regulations (GDPR, Accessibility) and SAS IT security.
  • Understand when and how to make performance optimizations and trade-offs.
  • Design architecture and solutions based on the MVP model that can scale to enterprise solutions.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Digital Project Owner to secure delivery according to the business backlog.
  • Define processes with the QA lead to secure a high-quality and high-performing digital product.
  • Coach, code review, and pair program with junior developers.
  • Proactively suggest digital solutions that can help the organization meet its goals.

The Team

You will be part of Digital Customer Solutions within SAS Digital & IT. Our teams build customer-facing digital services that support the entire travel journey, from finding and purchasing products and services to managing and enhancing the customer experience before, during, and after travel.

To be successful, we believe you have

Main tech skills and competence

  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience in React.js web applications.
  • Experience using build tools (Docker).
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience in Java 11+ and Spring Boot Technologies within microservice architectures.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Postgres, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform front-end mobile app frameworks (e.g., Flutter).
  • Familiarity with micro frontend architectures.

Experiences with tools but not limited to:

  • Git
  • Azure Cloud Platform
  • GitHub
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform

Additional information
