Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Security Specialist within Group Security, you will act as Health and Safety Specialist and take on a key role in developing, strengthening and continuously improving H&M Group’s global Health & Safety strategies across all sales markets.

In this role, you will focus on providing expertise, building frameworks, standards and enablement rather than operational ownership. You will work closely with Business Units, Central Security teams and Health & Safety teams across all sales markets to design scalable solutions, provide expert guidance and ensure consistent, high-quality implementation. By translating strategy into practical tools, insights and best practices, you will play a critical role in creating a strong and consistent health and safety culture that supports safe, compliant and commercially effective operations.

Key responsibilities include...

  • Act as a subject-matter expert within Health & Safety in the workplace, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and awareness.
  • Collaborate and advocate with internal and external parties on Health & Safety matters.
  • Ensure leadership commitment to a strong safety culture.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role reports to the Global Head of Security Operations and will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager in daily activities. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Group Security, central functions, business units and sales markets. This role involves frequent interaction with senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts within a global matrix organisation.

WHO YOU ARE

To thrive in this role, we believe that you are confident in driving Health & Safety strategy forward in a global matrix organisation, continuously balancing global standards with local needs. You are an excellent communicator with strong presentation and training skills, as well as the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels. With a continuous improvement mindset, you actively seek opportunities to enhance processes, systems and ways of working. You thrive in a global and cross-functional environment and collaborate with ease across diverse teams.

We are looking for people with…

  • A university degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • 4+ years' experience within Health & Safety, preferably in multi-site or international environments.
  • Health & Safety certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH) are considered a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Health & Safety standards, frameworks or initiatives.
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, standards and management systems (e.g. ISO 45001, CSRD).
  • Experience with incident investigations and compliance reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset, including KPI tracking, data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, presenting and training skills, with the ability to simplify and translate complex topics to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English.

And people who are…

  • Structured, proactive and driven by continuous improvement.
  • Confident in navigating and influencing stakeholders in a complex, global organisation.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Curious and motivated to strengthen Health & Safety practices at scale.
