We are now looking for a temporary assistant to strengthen our team around our cheerful and playful client in Lomma. She is a 58-year-old woman with epilepsy, autism, and Angelman syndrome.

Our client is lively and interested in most things in life. She enjoys shopping, going on excursions, taking walks, or simply relaxing on her lovely patio. She does not have her own spoken language but can use some signs. Since she is somewhat unsteady when walking, she uses a wheelchair during excursions and similar outings.

She is a happy and talkative (in her own way) woman who loves hugs and playfulness. However, she may become angry, at which point she might pinch or pull hair. This usually passes as quickly as it comes, and she does not mean any harm; she often just wants a hug again soon.

Currently, safe and wonderful assistants work with our client, taking turns working full 24-hour shifts. She always has one assistant with her, but during excursions, such as to the beach, there are two assistants. We are only looking for women for this position, as our client feels safest with women. You will work with on-call duties (4 hours) or 12-hour shifts.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

We are looking for an assistant with a good mood, great patience, and knowledge of low-arousal approaches (low-affective handling). You must also be able to set boundaries, which benefits the client. Experience in similar work with individuals with similar conditions is advantageous. This is a smoke-free workplace. A driver's license is an advantage but not a requirement, as there are good bus connections near the client's apartment.

The work group works together to maintain a positive atmosphere and helps each other find solutions to any problems. You need to be flexible regarding working hours, as the group covers for each other if someone is sick or on vacation – we support our client and each other.

Desirable Experience

• Experience as a personal assistant.
• Experience with epilepsy.
• Experience with CPR (HLR).
• Knowledge of low-arousal approaches.
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written).
• Non-smoker (mandatory).

Working Hours/Employment Level

• Extra shifts as needed, during regular assistant's sick leave and vacation.
• Dual assistance occurs (two assistants working simultaneously).
