Region's Property Department Seeks Technician with Focus on Medical Gas, Heating, Ventilation, and Control
The Region's Property Department provides functional premises for the region's various operations, both in internally owned and externally rented properties. The department is responsible for the region's property matters, including installation and building maintenance, project management, investigations, calculations, energy issues, and fire safety.
The Property Department also handles the operation and maintenance of the region's electrical, low-voltage, heating, ventilation, water, sewage, cooling, data network, large kitchen, white goods, medical gas installations, outdoor maintenance, certain medical technical equipment, and operational services.
Job Responsibilities
The position is part of our technician organization, which consists of professional categories primarily within EL (Electrical) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning). We work based on a model where technicians have area and system responsibility.
You are expected to act as the region's expert in these operational areas, which may vary over time to create a robust and flexible organization. Together with the group coordinator, you will plan when our various tasks should be carried out, based on laws, requirements, and tenants. The group coordinator has budget responsibility, which fosters cost awareness, short decision-making paths, and gives employees the opportunity to influence their work and develop within their professional fields.
If you want to work with a developing, varied, responsible, and independent job, you are welcome to apply.
We offer you stimulating work at a workplace where we constantly strive to link quality and efficiency in our operations with employee competence and opportunities for development.
Your main responsibilities as a technician are to ensure the required function of our installations and buildings. This is done by performing ongoing supervision/preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, and care measures regarding the buildings' operation and maintenance needs. You will receive fault reports and assess the necessary actions. You plan preventive measures and participate in planned maintenance.
Your tasks will focus on medical gas, control and regulation, heating, and ventilation installations, but you will also work with the buildings' other installations and functions. Some electrical and construction work may occur.
Contact with both operations, tenants, and framework agreement contractors is a natural part of the job.
Requirements and Qualifications
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have relevant operation or property technician education from a university or university college, or alternatively, education and experience with specialized competence within ventilation, heating, or control and regulation that can be assessed as equivalent.
You should have worked for at least three years as a technician with similar tasks and be ready for new challenges. If you also have experience in operating and maintaining medical gas installations, the MDR regulations, and have worked in a hospital environment, we consider this advantageous. You are passionate about property technology and have an ambition to develop within the field.
To succeed in the role, you should enjoy taking personal responsibility, working with technical problem-solving, having a structured approach, and being able to handle multiple tasks in parallel. You are a resilient, flexible, proactive, and service-oriented person who strives for results and profitability. You are engaged in your work, have good social competence, and work with the operation's best interests as a focus.
The tasks require you to be independent while also being able to work in a team/group and take responsibility for both your and the group's tasks. You work to promote technical development and efficiency within the unit. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.
- On-call duty is included in the position.
- Electrical competence is an advantage.
- A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office package.
- We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
- A probationary period may be applied.
