Job Description
The assignment involves the development, operation, and maintenance of the hardware used for measuring step and touch voltages. The work is part of the client's maintenance program during step and touch voltage measurements. The client owns the hardware used for measuring on energized lines.

The assignment includes:

  • Maintaining operational reliability of the measurement hardware
  • Further developing systems and functionality
  • Managing and developing control of a 300 kV circuit breaker
  • Working with equipment intended for the 400 kV transmission network

The consultant is also responsible for keeping documentation up to date and actively driving the further development of the measurement hardware. All documentation, source code, and materials produced within the assignment are owned by the client.

Responsibilities

Programming of embedded systems in the following languages:

  • C
  • C++
  • MicroPython / Python

API Development for:

  • Octave
  • MATLAB

Other tasks:

  • Firmware development
  • Handling signals and time-critical processes
  • Optimizing energy consumption in embedded systems with requirements for low power consumption
  • Implementation of radio communication, e.g., LoRa and Bluetooth Mesh
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and discuss potential improvements of the electronic solution with the electronic designer
  • Programming and integration of GPS, GLONASS, etc., for precise positioning and timestamping

Requirements

  • You must have at least 10 years of work experience in programming in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, and/or Python.
  • You must have participated in a development project where equipment for AMS work or AMS work for 400 kV involving embedded systems for control and measurement.
  • You must have experience with field measurements of step and touch voltages.
  • You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • You must have at least 3 years of experience repairing circuit boards and have access to an electronics lab.
