At Nordström Assistans, we are now looking for a secure and active personal assistant for a fantastic 6-year-old boy who lives a life full of movement and joy, despite having several disabilities. He is a social boy who loves walking, watching traffic, swimming, taking the bus, and being around other people. He loves books, soap bubbles, and balls.

About the position
You need to have a good heart and a calm demeanor, but also possess plenty of energy. We would like you to be creative, driven, and enjoy coming up with various activities together with the client. We are looking for a social person who sees the client's needs and opportunities. As a personal assistant, you will be close by in everything he does.

This includes, among other things, helping with:

• All care (e.g., hygiene, diaper changes, showering).
• Medication and tube feeding (you will receive on-site training).
• Accompanying the family on outings or on his own activities (e.g., walks, swimming pools, etc.).

This is a physically active job with much presence and physical contact – where gentleness and respect are central. It is not important that you have experience in the role of an assistant. We will base our decision on how you function with the client and his family.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:
The work is based in Malmö and will primarily be distributed on Mondays and Wednesdays afternoon/evening 16:00–19:00, as well as every other weekend: Saturday 07:00–19:00 and Sunday day/evening 10:00–19:00.

About you
As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a secure and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being. We believe that you who apply for this position are a person who is sensitive, responsible, flexible, and cooperative. You are active, secure, and have a warm, joyful manner. The most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.

You must:

• be a non-smoker,
• not have allergies to fur-bearing animals,
• not use strong perfumes or scents, as there are allergies in the family,
• be a swimmer and enjoy swimming,
• have fluent skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written,
• be creative and proactive,
• have a clean criminal record (no objections) to work with children.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license.

Scope: Part-time approx. 41%.
Number of positions: 1.
Start date: By agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position will be filled as soon as possible.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits are paid in accordance with the collective agreement.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register control will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
