About the role

We are currently looking for an HR and Payroll Assistant for our client in the food industry. Aryzta Bakeries is part of a larger international group with both production and offices in Malmö and Stockholm.

As an HR and Payroll Assistant at the Malmö office, you will have a central role in the business where you are responsible for payroll preparation and supporting employees with questions related to employment and collective agreements. You will become an important contact point for unionized employees and contribute to creating structure and security in everyday life.

About 80 people work at the Malmö office, of whom 10 are white-collar workers. During the peak season (April–August), the organization grows and the number of employees increases in line with increased production needs. You will collaborate closely with the HR Manager, as well as the Site, Production, and Technical Managers in Malmö, and a Payroll Administrator based in Stockholm.

The assignment is a consultancy role with start immediately/May 2026 and runs until August 31, 2026, with good opportunities for continued employment with the client. You will be based at the office just outside central Malmö, with the possibility of working remotely one day a week.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Payroll preparation prior to payroll runs
  • Working in the Agda payroll system
  • Schedule management and setup in Agda
  • HR administration
  • Managing the company's internal communication via digital screens
  • Support in rehabilitation and workplace adjustments, as well as contact with occupational health services
  • Support employees with questions related to collective agreements, salary, and employment terms
  • Support during seasonal recruitment

About you 💜

We are looking for a hands-on and operational person who thrives in a fast-paced role with clear deadlines, where payroll processing is central. You are accustomed to handling ongoing queries and are happy to take on the role of “go-to” person for both managers and employees. As a person, you are open and communicative, and feel comfortable in an industrial environment where employees are happy to come to you for support and advice in their daily work. You work closely with a small team and enjoy collaboration while also taking initiative to find solutions. Looking forward, you see opportunities to contribute to improvements and would like to develop the role with more proactive HR work when space allows.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll administration, preferably in Agda
  • Relevant education in payroll
  • Fluent Swedish and very good knowledge of English
  • Precise, structured, and service-oriented
  • Thrives in a role with many contact points
  • Interest in HR issues and a desire to develop in this area
  • Advantageous with experience of the Food Industry collective agreement or similar

About the position

This is a consultancy role of 40 hours/week with good opportunities to eventually become employed by the client due to long-term needs. You will initially be employed as a consultant through us at The Place. Working hours 08:00–17:00.

You will be based at the office at Vevaxelgatan 14, Toftanäs in Malmö, but have the opportunity to work 1 day/week remotely. Good communication facilities are available.
