We are now looking for personal assistants for a 19-year-old young man who lives with his mother in Skellefteå. The position involves being a secure and present support in his daily life, where both care and social support are important parts.

He is a social and cheerful young man who is active in his daily life. In some situations, he may have difficulty controlling his movements and may also express himself through loud noises. Therefore, it is important that you as a person are secure, stable, and provide a calm and predictable approach.

👉 The position starts as a hourly employment, with good opportunities for fixed shifts in the future. In your application, please state your availability for work.

The most important aspect of the role is that you have patience, stability, and genuine commitment. Other parts of the work will be taught on the job, where you will receive a clear introduction and support during training.

As a personal assistant, you will help with:

• 🧼 Personal hygiene and care.

• 🛏️ Transfers and use of assistive devices.

• 🍽️ Tube feeding and support during meals.

• 🏠 Household chores and cooking.

• 👕 Dressing and undressing.

• 🚿 Showering and toilet visits.

• 🤝 Social support and accompaniment to activities and leisure interests.

• 🏊 Visits to swimming pools and exercise.

• 💬 Communication and support in various daily situations.

• 🚗 Assistance with travel and excursions.

We are looking for you who have:

• 🏃‍♂️ Good physical condition.

• 🚗 Driver's license.

• 🗣️✍️ Basic knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

Previous experience in personal assistance or care is meritorious, as well as knowledge of basic hygiene routines and assistive devices. However, the most important thing is who you are as a person. We are looking for someone who is calm, positive, and patient, with a warm and gentle demeanor. You are flexible, stress-resistant, and quick to take initiative.

• 📊 Employment level: Hourly employment initially to ensure the collaboration works well. Thereafter, fixed schedule shifts may become available.

• 🕒 Work shifts: Varying and includes day, evening, weekend, and night with on-call duties.
