GP to Östhammar Health Centre – Be part of the future with 1100 patients

Region Uppsala, through Nära Vård och Hälsa, is now seeking General Practitioners for the Östhammar Health Centre. We offer a unique opportunity to be involved from the start in an initiative aiming to provide 1100 registered patients per full-time GP by 2026. Do you have 1100 on your list? Your Role

Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre and within teams. Your duties include outpatient work with good opportunities for other stimulating tasks, such as supervising BT/AT/ST doctors and responsibility for various clinical processes based on your interest. You will have the chance to help develop our operations, influence work arrangements, appointment schedules, and your own work environment. The position includes some on-call duties, which is standard within primary care in Region Uppsala. We also offer the possibility of partial remote work.

If interested, there is an opportunity to combine work at the health centre with work at the Close Care Unit, a ward located at the care centre.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a doctor with specialist competence in general medicine, hold a Swedish license, and have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since we are in a development phase, it is an advantage if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on the patient and patient flows. We also value those who enjoy working in teams with other professions to create efficient flows. Personal qualities are highly valued.

Our Operations

Östhammar Health Centre is part of Nära Vård och Hälsa, which consists of 1800 employees working with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care, including mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services. Care is provided at the care centre, which includes the health centre, emergency clinic, close care unit, and short-term unit, as well as radiology and laboratory services in the same building.

We are located near the sea in an archipelago environment in Östhammar, approximately 7 miles from Uppsala with good connections. The bus stops nearby, and there is free parking at the health centre. Here, all professions work closely together to provide the best possible care. We have approximately 6500 registered patients and 30 employees offering most aspects of primary care, including well-functioning nurse-led clinics.
