At Solbacka Dementia Care in Norrtälje, we are now looking for a creative Activity Coordinator who wants to help create increased quality of life. Here, as a nursing assistant, you have the opportunity for a specialized role and to mostly work daytime, Monday-Friday.

About Solbacka Dementia Care

There are 64 apartments and several pleasant common areas. In our lovely garden, you can enjoy the greenery together with our residents. On our enclosed balconies, activities can be performed year-round.

About the role

As an Activity Coordinator, you have a fantastic opportunity to create meaning and joy in the daily lives of the residents. By offering inspiring and engaging activities, you contribute to strengthening their abilities, promoting well-being, and preserving their health. You are the key to quality of life – with your sensitivity and empathy, you see every individual, sense their needs and wishes.

You have an important role in

• leading our activity council where we plan common holidays, music events, and activities.

• supporting your colleagues in carrying out smaller activities at the units.

• being part of a network with activity coordinators in the region and keeping up to date with the wider world.

• ensuring our social media is used, both by you as the Activity Coordinator and by colleagues in the operations.

• building contacts and developing good collaborations with local organizations, schools, municipalities, and volunteers.

• leading projects and applying for grants/scholarships that benefit the care home.

In parallel with this, you may also come to work with care work as a nursing assistant based on the needs of the operations.

You work daytime Monday-Friday, except during special events or based on operational needs when work in the evenings and weekends may occur.

Your direct manager is the Operations Manager.
