About the role

Here, you will meet young people who need warmth, clarity, and guidance to find their way in life. Our young people are of varying ages, and many have a combination of social issues and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Additionally, outwardly disruptive behavior and anxiety issues are common, making your ability to create security and remain calm in challenging situations particularly important.

The work at the HVB (Home for Care or Boarding) involves participation in the young people's entire life situation, from the small details of daily life to long-term goals. You will work closely with your colleagues in the team, and collaboration also occurs with other actors such as schools, social services, and guardians. A central part of the role involves working based on implementation plans and being able to document development in a clear and structured manner.

Job Information:

Employment Type: Needs-based/hourly employment (fixed-term)

Location: Tollarp/Gärds Köpinge, Kristianstad Municipality

Working Hours: 24-hour shifts

Start Date: Immediately or as agreed

 

Requirements:

  • Ongoing or completed post-secondary education of at least 2 years within social work or behavioral science
  • Work experience from similar assignments with children/young people within the target group, covering at least one year
  • You master the Swedish language in speech and writing
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

 

Merits:

  • Education and/or experience in low-affective handling as well as threat and violence situations
  • Education or shorter courses adapted for neuropsychiatry or other elements of the described target group
  • Knowledge in clarifying pedagogy (Teacch, AAC, PECS, or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of BBIC/IBIC
  • Experience with different journal systems and quality management systems

We believe you are a person who meets young people with warmth and clarity. With your pedagogical approach, you create security and can build strong and lasting relationships. You make young people feel both seen and respected by setting necessary boundaries while showing care and humanity.

You are confident in handling challenging situations and can, in a calm and professional manner, brake, turn, divert, and motivate young people when needed. You are aware of your own role in the meeting and understand how your handling affects the young person's feelings and behaviors.

With curiosity and genuine interest, you get to know each young person for real. You are driven by seeing them grow and develop, and you work purposefully to support them in their planned steps forward. You are a person who takes on your assignment with heart and great engagement.
