About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Halmstad

The school is located within the campus of Halmstad University. The school is now in its fourth academic year and has approximately 160 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As a substitute teacher, you will teach our students when regular teachers are not present. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will teach in a digital environment using digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature. Teaching takes place in both Swedish and English.

The position is an hourly contract where you work as needed. There is a demand for good availability and great flexibility, as we may call you for substitute work with short notice on the same day. Start date as soon as possible. The employment covers the academic year 25/26.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license and previous experience in teaching. You have a great commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have the ability to use a wide spectrum of digital learning materials and possess stable digital competence.
