Our Operations

The Section for Dermatology and Venereology is part of the Department of Medicine, Dermatology and Rheumatology. The section consists of a dermatology and venereology outpatient clinic, an occupational dermatology clinic, a dermatology ward, and a day care unit. Our mission is to investigate, diagnose, care for, and treat skin and venereal diseases. The most common diagnoses we treat include psoriasis, eczema, and various forms of skin tumors. We have several specialized areas and have recently been assigned by the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to provide highly specialized care in the areas of severe skin symptoms and genodermatoses. Working with us involves both ward and outpatient work as well as consultant activities. Within the department, we also conduct extensive teaching. We strive to build up more research within the section.

Your Qualifications

You are a specialist physician in dermatology and venereology with many years of experience in clinical work with patients suffering from skin and venereal diseases at a hospital. Experience in inpatient work at a dermatology ward and with complex patients receiving systemic treatments is desirable and an asset, as we provide highly specialized care for severe skin symptoms at our inpatient unit. You have a strong interest in education, teaching, and preferably medical development work, as we have ongoing development and improvement projects. Consultant work and student teaching are part of the assignment, as well as service at the dermatology clinic at Enköping Hospital.

Your ability to inspire change and development is excellent. To succeed with us, you need to be a colleague who creates participation and engagement within the group.
