Our Operations

Psychiatry Department 1 is an acute ward within 24-hour care, part of the psychosis care chain within the Psychiatry Department at Akademiska Sjukhuset. We care for individuals with psychotic disorders and conduct psychosis assessments. We maintain close collaboration with outpatient clinics and municipalities throughout the county and continuously develop our cooperation with other psychiatric specializations within the hospital.

We work in a health-promoting manner and have created a workplace with a cohesive team featuring diverse backgrounds and competencies. We operate based on a person-centered approach with interesting areas of responsibility and development opportunities. We also participate in research on recovery, including group and individual patient education.

Your Assignment

As a psychiatric nurse assistant, you will meet many different people in difficult situations. The ward receives most patients acutely, and the work pace is sometimes high. You are part of a team where you help each other, but it also requires that you can work independently, be flexible, and adapt your communication based on the situation and the patient's needs. Your tasks include ward and nursing duties where both psychiatric and somatic care must be performed and coordinated.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are an educated nurse assistant/primary care nurse with several years of experience working in psychiatric 24-hour care. You must have excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who, together with other colleagues, want to drive and develop care at Psychiatry Department 1. Experience with and interest in psychosis care is desirable. Experience in preventive work against threats and violence is an asset. Personal suitability will be given great consideration during the appointment process.
