Our Operations

Psychiatry Department 1 is an acute department that is part of the psychosis care chain within the Area of Operation Psychiatry at Akademiska Sjukhuset. We care for individuals with psychotic disorders and conduct psychosis assessments. We have close collaboration with outpatient care and municipalities throughout the county. We continuously develop cooperation with other psychiatric specializations within the hospital. We work in a health-promoting manner and have created a workplace with a tightly knit team with diverse backgrounds and competencies. We have implemented a person-centered approach with interesting areas of responsibility and development opportunities. We offer regular nursing supervision for the nurse group, an ongoing wellness project, and a "Journal Club" led by a specialist nurse. We also participate in research on recovery, where patient education takes place both in groups and individually.

We are looking for you who, together with other colleagues, want to help drive and develop care at Psychiatry Department 1. Your Assignment

As a nurse in the psychiatric 24-hour care unit, you have an important role with a focus on nursing care. You work closely with the patient and collaborate with psychiatric outpatient care, other healthcare providers/social agencies, and relatives. You are responsible, among other things, for documentation and administration of medication and have a team leadership role. Mentoring students and new employees is also a natural part of your tasks.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a nurse with basic education. Previous experience in psychosis care is an asset.

We offer a permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon. A probationary period of up to 6 months may apply. Prior to employment, an extract from the suspicion and criminal record registers will be obtained.
