Our Operations

The Department of Medicine consists of two round-the-clock wards, hospital-based home care (LAH) with an associated care ward, a gastroenterology clinic, a medicine clinic with several specialist clinics, clinical physiology, a dermatology clinic, and an intermediate care ward (IMA).

The Medicine department staffs the hospital's emergency department, which is open 24/7. The Department of Medicine consists of senior physicians, specialists, resident doctors, rotating resident doctors primarily from primary care, licensed junior doctors, graduate junior doctors, and medical interns. In the care wards, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists work together.

Your Mission

As a resident doctor in internal medicine, you will be employed at the Hospital in Enköping with the home clinic in the Department of Medicine. Your service will consist of at least 63 months, including on-call duties. Side service will take place in specialized medical areas at the Academic Hospital. Placement in intermediate care, IMA, is included.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with a strong personal drive and a great interest in internal medicine. The work requires excellent collaboration and communication skills. Experience in internal medicine is an advantage.

We Offer

We offer a residency position with a permanent full-time contract. Start date by agreement. You will be offered a residency block covering at least 63 months according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines. We also provide opportunities for double specialization upon request and by agreement.
