Are you a qualified occupational therapist looking for a meaningful job where you can make a difference? Do you also enjoy working with patient cases that can be complex, unique, and require your professional intuition? Then this might be a position for you. We are looking for someone who wants to help shape the work in municipal primary care, home healthcare for people under 65, and individuals with assistance decisions. Welcome with your application!

Our workplace is located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, where you will start when conducting home visits. Here, the licensed staff of the care committee work on the same floor, creating a close and natural collaboration between professions. The shared facilities provide good conditions for collegial support, knowledge exchange, and interdisciplinary development work. Proximity to your colleagues makes it easy to collaborate in professional groups, participate in various workgroups, and take part in joint professional development and training.

Job Description

In the role of occupational therapist, you primarily work in the patient's own home, where interventions range from short-term support periods to longer assignments. You are responsible for investigation, assessment, and treatment within the field of occupational therapy, which includes individual activity assessments and analysis of environmental factors.

A central part of the job is to adapt the patient's everyday environment through testing and prescribing both physical and cognitive aids. You also play an active role in the discharge process from inpatient care, contributing to a safe and secure transition for the patient.

The work is characterized by a preventive, activity-preserving, and activity-enhancing approach with the goal of strengthening the patient's health and quality of life. You collaborate closely with physiotherapists and nurses and often work in teams around the patient.

The assignment also includes guidance and instruction to patients, relatives, care staff, and students, contributing to both quality and development in the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Holds a valid driver's license (B)
  • Has good knowledge of the Swedish language

If you have experience in municipal health and medical care, it is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are confident in working independently and have the courage to act based on your own convictions. You are proactive, drive activities forward, and work purposefully to achieve results. In this role, it is also important that you have excellent collaboration skills and enjoy working together with others in a responsive and flexible manner. You communicate clearly, listen actively, and contribute to solving challenges and conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you have a strong empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations without taking over their feelings, which creates safety and good relationships at work.
