Region Uppsala issues a health bond

Are you interested in preventive care and want to be part of starting an innovative screening and treatment project? Then we hope you want to be part of Region Uppsala's important initiative to improve the health of the region's residents! Many people with high blood pressure are diagnosed late, often when they have already developed complications such as heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. Others are not diagnosed at all. Therefore, we are now starting a completely new reception service where we expect to receive 15,000 visits over five years, to find individuals with untreated high blood pressure through screening, to treat them and thereby avoid serious cardiovascular diseases. The results from the project may eventually open up new opportunities and future research projects.

Your mission

Your mission consists of planning, preparing, and conducting patient visits. Since the project is also followed up in a scientific study, there will also be tasks related to collecting research data in various data systems. The team you will work closely with consists of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, administrators, and a unit manager. You will be an important part of building a cohesive team with your project colleagues, working towards a clear mission and goal. The tasks may vary within the team, allowing you to broaden your competence.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse. If you have previous experience in outpatient and/or inpatient care with experience in EKG monitoring and sampling, we consider this an advantage. Experience working with research studies is also a valuable asset. You are familiar and comfortable working with various data systems.

Your competence

It is important for us to build a functioning team, and therefore we are looking for someone with excellent collaboration skills who enjoys working together with others in a smaller team. To succeed in this role, you need to be meticulous.

We offer

We offer a permanent position within the Department of Surgery and Urology, with placement in the project full-time or part-time for 2-4 years. If you are interested in combining work in the project with another assignment, we are open to discussing the possibility of part-time work. Working hours are Monday to Friday during the day. Start date according to agreement. The project is a collaboration between Region Uppsala and Uppsala University. You will be employed by Uppsala University Hospital.
