Andreas Ands Minne and Samariterhemmet Diakoni are two foundations that have both been operating in central Uppsala for over 100 years. Andreas Ands nursing home has 29 places, and Samariterhemmet's dementia care Ebbagården has 33 places. We offer a family-like and safe environment for residents and staff.

Together, the foundations are now looking for a new occupational therapist with a 30-40% working rate (two days a week) per residence – i.e., a total working rate of 60-80% spread over four days. The position is permanent with an initial probation period of six months. Formally, there are thus two different employments but with similar tasks and two employers who are both non-profit with similar values and an established positive collaboration.

About the role

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in elderly care and dementia care. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills. You want to be part of a team where good interaction and the well-being of the residents are always in focus. You are confident in yourself and your professional role, have an easy time collaborating, are structured, and want to contribute to a health-promoting and positive work environment. You should have a genuine interest in working with elderly people, be service-oriented, flexible, and have good collaboration skills.

You will work in a positive work environment where the right person performs the right tasks. As an occupational therapist, you will be responsible for ADL assessments and trials as well as prescribing aids. You will collaborate with a physiotherapist and a rehab assistant who work daily. As colleagues, you will also have nurses, care staff, and a coordinator for the nursing assistant group.

About the employment

Since this is a joint recruitment, interviews will be conducted with both Andreas Ands and Samariterhemmet's staff. We hope to fill the position as soon as possible; selection and interviews will therefore take place continuously.
