Our Operations

Pharmaceuticals and pharmacy constitute the hospital pharmacy function of Akademiska sjukhuset and consist of the units of Pharmaceutical Supply, Pharmaceutical Preparation, Clinical Pharmacy, and Ward Pharmacy. Within the ward pharmacy unit, about 30 pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and technicians work with tasks such as ordering medications, managing medication supplies, preparing medications, and providing support for healthcare staff and patients in medication management issues.

Your Mission

You will belong to the ward pharmacy unit and have your temporary position at Akademiska sjukhuset, where you will be part of a team consisting of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy technicians. The work is located on the ward, and you will work as part of the care team. You will be the responsible ward pharmacist during the summer, which means you will be responsible for ensuring that the ward has the medications required for the care of the hospitalized patients, possibly preparing intravenous medications, and maintaining a good structure and order in the medication room.

Your Qualifications

You who are applying are a pharmacy technician, preferably with preparation competence, or a pharmacist. Previous experiences that the employer considers relevant, such as working in teams in patient-related work, working in hospitals or at dose pharmacies, or with quality work, may be meritorious.

Courses in clinical pharmacy and an interest in compatibility issues and preparation of intravenous medications may be meritorious.

You enjoy working together with other people, are attentive, and are driven to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You remain stable even under high workloads, work systematically, and prioritize the right things. In your interactions, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating. You have an interest and a willingness and ability to help others. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities that can contribute to good collaboration with the department's staff and operations, such as good communication skills and teamwork ability.

We offer a temporary position during the summer months. Relevant departments include geriatrics and the emergency department. Positions may be filled before the application period has expired.
