Our Operations

Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) and Plastic Surgery is a joint operating department for the areas of ear, nose, and throat diseases as well as plastic surgery. The staff consists of operating room nurses and assistant nurses who work within both specialties in close collaboration with maxillofacial surgeons and the anesthesia department. Examples of procedures performed include surgery for cleft lip, palate, and jaw, breast and head-neck reconstructions, skin transplantation for severe burns, and facial trauma surgery. We perform advanced rhinology, laser surgery, and bronchoscopies, as well as basic surgery such as tonsillectomies and polyp clinic operations under local anesthesia. We also have two operating rooms dedicated to otologic surgery, e.g., cochlear implants and myringoplasty. Our patients include both children and adults from all over the country, but primarily patients from Central Sweden. The department has a total of seven operating rooms. Burn patients are operated on in the operating room located on the burn intensive care unit.

Your Assignment

We have an operating room nurse retiring and are therefore seeking an operating room nurse for our ENT and Plastic Surgery department who wants to help develop our exciting, varied, and innovative operations. We are a positive group working closely together to provide the best care and first-class treatment to our patients. We are attentive to your wishes and competence needs.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized education in operating room care.

Your Competence

We are a well-organized operation with close interdisciplinary collaboration, making your personal suitability of great importance. We prefer candidates who are proactive and have good collaboration skills.

We Offer

Our working time model implies a weekly working time of 36.33 hours/week, which means you have approximately 7 free weekdays over a 10-week period. We operate Monday–Friday. We have a 10-week schedule with 5 on-call shifts during 10 weeks (3 shifts on weekdays and one Saturday–Sunday). Working hours are negotiable; some flexibility is available based on different wishes. Induction is adapted to your needs. We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.
