Job Description

SiS is currently undergoing extensive transformation, developing its operations on multiple levels simultaneously. As the Night Unit Manager, you will lead, plan, and monitor work related to your staff and operational content. Your team consists of treatment pedagogues, treatment assistants, and operational managers. Your night-shift staff have an important mission to ensure the safety and security of our clients' care and treatment needs. The Operational Manager is a newly established function working around the clock to ensure the safety and security of staff and clients, as well as representing the employer outside of office hours. As the manager of the night staff, the role includes some duty hours in the evening/night to meet your staff during their working hours, which you consider an important and natural part of your work. The position includes responsibility for the work environment, personnel, and budget.

You are part of the institution's management team, reporting to the Head of Institution. Together with fellow managers, you share joint responsibility for the entire operation. As a manager at SiS, it is a prerequisite that you have a good ability to collaborate with other managers and specialists at the institution. Competence development is important to us at SiS; as a new manager, you will undergo, in addition to a local introduction, authority-wide training and join a network of unit managers across the country.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, health sciences, or behavioral sciences, or another relevant academic degree.
  • Several years of experience working in operations with a focus on care, treatment, or security, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations.
  • Documented current experience in a supervisory role.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Documented current experience in management with operational, budget, and personnel responsibility.
  • Experience in supervising operations conducted at irregular hours.
  • Experience in treatment work within addiction care or compulsory care.

You have a good ability to express yourself well, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish. Given the complexity of the assignment, great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We prefer that you have a good ability to:

  • Create constructive working alliances with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Work systematically, structured, and process-oriented to achieve good results related to the assignment.
  • Work independently while continuously inviting your surroundings to collaboration and providing feedback.
  • Plan, organize, lead, and distribute tasks efficiently.

You have the courage and willingness to address potential problems and actively work for a good culture where the operation's needs dictate and where staff thrive and develop.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
