Our mission is to shape a sustainable society where everyone has a place, and we are now looking for you who want to contribute to this work together with us. We offer a workplace characterized by courage, development opportunities, and a strong belief in creating a balance where you thrive.
Description
As an employee at Gislaved Municipality, you become an important part of your workplace. We expect you to actively contribute to the development of the operations through your knowledge and experience. Respect for diversity and the equal value of all human beings is a given with us.
The Unit for Housing and Support, BOOST, is led by a unit manager and two group leaders. The unit includes supported housing for young people aged 16–21, a residential care home (HVB) for young people aged 13–20, housing for adults with addiction problems, and housing for adults with psychiatric disabilities.
We are now looking for an engaged therapist for our team at Kastanjegården HVB!
Kastanjegården HVB is a residential home for young people and young adults aged 13–20, located in Reftele. Kastanjegården also has supported apartments for young people between 16 and 20 years old.
The young people living at Kastanjegården have decisions made under the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). A central part of your work will be to motivate and support the young people in developing their abilities and strengths, as well as helping them to create a mindset for change based on their individual implementation plans. Your approach should be characterized by a low-arousal approach, which creates trust and security for the young people. Building strong and trusting relationships is crucial in your work.
Job Responsibilities
As a therapist at Kastanjegården HVB, you have a central role in supporting young people and young adults aged 13–20. Your work mainly consists of conducting goal-oriented treatment work based on individual implementation plans, where you adapt the measures to each young person's specific needs and conditions. This means that you actively contribute to their personal development and independence, while building trusting relationships that create a safe environment for them.
The role also includes a case manager assignment, where you are responsible for planning and coordinating care for specific young people. This includes maintaining regular contact with internal and external partners, such as schools, social services, and other healthcare providers. You lead both individual and group therapy sessions, where you use therapeutic methods to support the young people's development and help them manage their challenges.
An important part of your work is to document in the operational system Combine, which means that you continuously update implementation plans, make journal entries, and ensure that all documentation is correct and up-to-date. You also contribute to creating and adapting the living environment so that it is safe, structured, and adapted to the young people's specific needs. Through your work, you make a significant difference in the young people's lives and help them find new paths forward.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is educated as a behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or has other education that the employer considers equivalent. Great importance is attached to personal suitability, and we are looking for a person who is confident, attentive, humble, stress-resistant, and has a professional approach. Experience working with the target group is an asset. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as computer skills and experience with documentation.
We would like you to have knowledge in motivational interviewing and low-arousal approaches. Your collaboration needs to be characterized by the ability to cooperate and a willingness to participate in the development of the operations. You are expected to have good cooperation with the manager and colleagues, both at your workplace and within the municipal group. Taking responsibility, solution orientation, and the ability to create meaningful relationships with the young people are central to this role.
We offer:
A strong sense of community with engaged colleagues. Competence development. Paid vacation from the first year of employment. Free entry to the municipality's swimming pools.
Recruitment is ongoing, and interviews may be held before the application deadline has passed.
We apply registry checks (extract from the criminal record register) as part of the suitability assessment for all who are offered employment where they have direct and regular contact with children and young people.
Welcome with your application and become part of our engaged team at Kastanjegården HVB!
In Gislaved Municipality, full-time employment is a right, and therefore vacant positions* are advertised as full-time. When the operations can accommodate part-time work, it is of course a possibility. *Positions shorter than 3 months and certain positions may be exempt. Prior to the recruitment work, Gislaved Municipality has taken a stand on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact with media salespeople, recruitment sites, and the like.
