About the Job

Within the Health Promotion and Prevention division, we are currently seeking a colleague for a temporary position starting mid-August 2026 until the end of May 2027. At our organization, various professional groups collaborate to create a healthier daily life for the city's senior citizens in Gothenburg. We focus on preventing illness and strengthening individuals' ability to live a healthy and independent life.

At our meeting places, we strive to motivate and create conditions for everyone to participate and shape activities and social gatherings that promote social, psychological, physical, and existential health. Your workplace is within the Southwest City District, where you will be active at several different meeting places. At some of these, you will also be responsible for simple sales of refreshments. The target group is seniors aged 65 and above, and activities may also include intergenerational initiatives. The work also involves proactive outreach as part of the elderly coordinator assignment. Some administrative tasks are included, such as maintaining participant statistics, planning activities, and following up on both qualitative and quantitative results based on an evidence-based approach.

We are looking for someone driven to find multiple solutions to various needs and who wants to contribute to an operation that engages and attracts seniors with diverse interests. About You

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Experience in pedagogically teaching and supporting the use of technical aids such as tablets, mobile phones, and computers
• Experience working at meeting places for and with seniors
• Experience in planning, conducting, and following up on activities
• Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written

Merits

• Further education in health promotion and preventive work, e.g., activation pedagogy
• Experience in motivational interviewing
